Miss Teen Oklahoma International is Brooke Harris. Many words can be used to describe Brooke. She is perky, kind, empathetic, supportive, energetic, but in a nutshell she is versatile. Brooke ranges from being the class jock (voted most athletic) to the girly girl of the pageant world. She believes women can thrive in both fields because they basically require the same character qualities. Brooke is happy with the person she is and enjoys challenge. She understands it takes more than wishing to accomplish dreams. It takes determination and hard work.Brooke enjoys meeting people of all ages as demonstrated in her community service. She has made a mission trip to Dallas, Texas to feed the homeless and pack shoes for orphan children. Brooke has helped raise gifts for Ally’s House, a place started by Toby Keith to provide services to families of children with cancer. She has been involved in toy drives for children in hospitals. She donated, presented Valentine flowers to each resident and enjoyed the party at the Heartland Plaza Assisted Living Center in Ada. She also participated in the Cowboy Crisis fundraising dinner and auction for a selected cancer victim of the Ada area. Brooke is also an active member in her church youth group.
Brooke’s greatest passion is her platform charity Muscular Dystrophy. She lost a friend to this genetic disease two years ago. Brooke wants to promote Muscular Dystrophy Awareness to create an opportunity to develop more personal relationships between MDA kids and others.
